Hi, I’m Lindy…

I’m a wife, a mum, a photographer and a business owner. I live in the vibrant cultural city of Liverpool, but I’m Welsh by birth and grew up surrounded by beautiful countryside and singing in choirs.

My mum is Irish (hello dark hair and pale skin!) and I spent many happy summer holidays in Ireland when I was growing up. I hold dual citizenship and an Irish Passport, which means I can legally work across the EU to cover destination weddings.

I adore history, travel, nature and beautiful design…so if you’re thinking of getting married in a Tuscan villa surrounded by olive groves and cedar trees or a French chateau full of a old world charm, then I will be in my absolute element photographing you. I love period dramas and books, and get so much inspiration from the timeless elegance of historic old buildings and places with a story to tell.

When I’m not behind the camera, I love to spend time with my family- my husband and two teenage children. I sing in a gospel choir, volunteer with young people and families and occasionally act in films as an Extra (or Supporting Artist)- especially if it’s a period drama. Though the most fun I’ve had was on the set of an action movie!

I’ve told you I’d love to capture your story, so here’s mine…I shot my first wedding back in 2015 and since then I have captured love stories all across the UK and beyond. Here’s how…

I’ve always loved photography… but it wasn’t until I had my two children that I realised how incredible it was that photography could freeze the most important moments in your life. I bought myself a better camera, and set to work learning how to use it. I took photos of my children that I would look at for hours, feeling all those emotions all over again. I was hooked, and my journey to become a full time professional photographer began.

I started working alongside an established wedding photographer, learning photography on the job. It was a baptism of fire- literally learning in the fast paced environment of real wedding days. I invested in equipment and courses and honed my craft. I did a 365 project and took my camera out every single day. Through constant learning, growing, editing, and shooting weddings over a number of years, I developed my own unique style filled with light, emotion and beauty. I also came under the wings of business and photography mentors who are at the peak of the industry so that I could learn how to serve my clients in the best way possible.

Almost a decade later, and I have shot weddings in castles, cathedrals, Italian villas, and on mountain tops. I have photographed some of the most amazing people you could ever meet and even had the privilege of photographing royalty. My work has been published in international wedding blogs and in magazines. I pinch myself that I get to do a job that I love so much, capturing so much joy and emotion, and elevating moments in time into works of art.

But what I have discovered over the years, through countless reviews and feedback from my clients, is that on top of treasuring the images, my clients loved how I felt like an old friend. I have a deep desire that people feel comfortable, happy and relaxed around me, and I make that a priority on my weddings and shoots. I think this is the secret of capturing happy, relaxed and natural photos that show the real, genuine beauty of the moment.
